Alpine has added a new driver to its pool for the 2026 season!
The Alpine F1 team has signed Alex Dunne to its junior programme for the 2026 season, after his departure from the McLaren F1 programme.
Dunne had two FP1 outings with the reigning champions last year, alongside his rookie season in Formula 2, where he finished fifth overall.
This year, Dunne returns to the F2 grid for a second season and will carry Alpine’s colors on his Rodin F2 entry.
He expressed his excitement and gratitude for the opportunity to represent Alpine in FIA Formula 2 and aims to compete for the drivers’ championship with his teammate Martinius Stenshorne.
Dunne is focused on rewarding the team’s faith in him with wins and podiums, seeing this as the next chapter in his racing career as an Alpine Academy driver.
